Today I woke up at 7:30am, a rare event for me, being that I am somewhat of a night owl. (I actually do want to get used to getting up early, though, as it will allow me to structure my day more efficiently.) As some of you may know, I live on the top floor of my building, facing east, with no real obstacles to my view except for the hillside 1.5 miles away. This makes for an amazing view on most days and for a great place to watch the sunrise in the morning. Except on most days, I am asleep when the sun rises. Not so today. And the universe decided to reward me with an amazing view.

How was your morning?
How beautiful!! I can’t wait for the summer to get closer when sunrise is actually before I get to work :)

I bet! I hate the little daylight we get in winter (though I mostly look forward to the days being longer in the evening).
Such a beautiful reward to receive at early waking time. It’s a good time to sip a cup of coffee and think of the wonderful things to come. :-)
Thanks for your comment, Walter. That is one of the benefits of waking up early. No rush, and plenty of time to wake up and get ready for the day.
What a beautiful view. Jeepers, I need to get up earlier in order to see that.. or get a change in scenery.
Great blog.
Best,
Hannah Katy
Hi Hannah, thanks for your comment. Usually I don’t wake up early enough to see the sunrise, either. As for the view? I am quite lucky. The best part about it is that it is (cheap) student housing on campus. I am so glad I applied to this building, and got a room on the side facing east (and on the top floor!). :)
