Here comes my first attempt at a vlog. Please excuse all the ‘likes’ and ‘ummms,’ I only realized afterwards just how often I say that! And this is after I cut out two minutes of rambling. It is so weird to see a video of me, to see what I look like when I speak to someone (or in this case to the webcam). I think it’s kind of weird, but you know what, I’ve made the damn thing, so I’m posting it. But I do wish I looked as cute and adorable and smiley on video as some of you!
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this video and that you get a better impression of me as a person! And that it hasn’t put you off wanting to read my blog, haha. Regardless of how awkward and serious I may look, I did enjoy doing this video and will be putting together #2 with the rest of the questions very soon. I will also make sure to record it when it’s actually light out because what with it being late at night, the lighting was kind of tricky. If you want to add a question or two for me to answer in the next vlog, go ahead!
P.S. Aly, I am sorry that I didn’t really answer your second question that well. It was really hard to answer and I didn’t really notice until I watched the video that I talked about what I like about living in Germany, as opposed to what it’s like living in Germany. And I didn’t even do a very good job at that.

I really liked to hear you talk again (I hardly remembered your voice from when we met 5 (!) years ago and obviously, we spoke German to each other — most of the time anyway ;)).

You do have an American accent, I love it! I have always tried to get up early every day since being off work but it nevers happens.. I’m not an early morning person.

By the way, I noticed the Chat Noir poster – I used to have one in my student room too!
Haha, I can totally say something in German in the next one, though I am not sure how many of the viewers would appreciate that. We actually also have a Chat Noir poster in our kitchen. I got the (oversized) postcard and the other vintage postcards (there are six of them) at a postcard stand in Barcelona and thought they would make great decoration for the gray closet (that came with the room). When I move I’ll definitely be keeping them. I love them.
