Yup, that’s right! I am. On my birthday my mom mentioned to me that she would like to go on a trip with me after graduation, before I enter the working world. The cities from my to-travel list from this post immediately came to mind.
Unfortunately my mom refused to spend a day at Disneyland were we to go to Paris, so Paris was off the list. I absolutely want to visit Paris, but when I do, I want to go to Disneyland. I have never been to Disney-anything (can you believe it?), and I know that once I have been to Paris, it is a lot less likely that I will go there again any time soon just to go to Disneyland. However, this has made me want to go to Paris all the more. I want to go next year, provided that I find a decently-paying job.
So which city did we finally settle on you ask? A beautiful one. A city that is roughly 230 miles from Munich. Outside Germany. To the east. Got it?

Prague.
I absolutely cannot wait for this trip. We will be going for five days in the first week of September, just a few days after I move back to Munich. I already did all the planning last week & booked a nice 4* hotel and the train & bus to get to Prague from Munich for us. That’s right, this girl will be staying at a 4* hotel! Definitely an upgrade from the hostels I usually stay in when I travel by myself.
I have already bought the Lonely Planet guide for Prague and will be reading up on Prague and its sights in the next few weeks to make sure I won’t be missing out on anything. I cannot wait to visit this gorgeous city and take pictures of it.
And it is so amazing that I will get to go on a vacation this year after all, something I had already given up on. My last one was to New York City last year in March (and that was technically an excursion with the English Department). It has been way too long since the last time I left the country.
Are you going on vacation this year? Or did you already? Where to?
You’ll love Prague; it holds special memories for me, obviously, but it really is a beautiful city!
Well, I’ll be in Disneyland Paris on the 14th September if you can scrounge up for a trip – I’m the third wheel with my brother & his girlfriend, but I LOVE Disney and just can’t wait xx
Soooo niice! I’m sure you’ll like Prague! Ad it’s so close to my beloved Krakow and Wien.
Jens and I spent three weeks in Spain this July. During the first two we travelled with Jens family in Andalucia and the third final week we spent in Barcelona, where we searched for all Carl Ruiz Zafon places. It was unforgettable!!! I love Spain :)
Prag!

Oh Prague is wonderful, you’ll love it! J and I were there for New Year’s 2004 and I would love to go again when it’s warm and green!
We already had our Germany/Austria vacation in June this year. I didn’t want to go too far being preggo in the 7 th month so we did a combo of sea (Ruegen), mountains (Alps) and cities (Berlin and Salzburg) plus spent 10 days at my parents house! It was great and relaxing and just right for me to go inte the final stretch now!
Make sure you go to Vysherad (take the red metro line there). Get off and walk to the old church/graveyard – A must see that is not in most tour guide books (although am sure it is in the LP) and then walk down to the bottom of it – there are some old “Kasemates” there – old tunnels they used to use – in here is also the original statues that are on the Charles bridge (those are dupes there ;). If you cant find this info in your book, email me, will give you more detail. Not sure if you remember, I lived there 2001-2004, so if you have any questions, just let me know :)
Don´t forget to try the Brazilian restaurant in there. I don´t think anybody would not like it ;)
I can’t believe it!! YAY for trips – but so SO jealous you are going to my #1 pick of places to visit! That’s it, it’s decided. Next trip is DEFINITELY Prague. :) The architecture looks incredible!
